This website
This site collects nothing about you. There is no analytics, no tracking, no advertising, and no cookies. You do not need an account and there is nothing to sign in to.
The site is hosted by Cloudflare, who see the usual information any web host sees in order to deliver a page: your IP address, which page you asked for, and what browser asked for it. They use it to serve the site and to block attacks. We do not receive it as a report and we do not look at it.
The app
ShotWork runs entirely on your computer. It has no accounts, no cloud, and no telemetry. It does not send your footage, your shot lists, your reels or your activity anywhere, including to us. The license check happens on your machine without contacting a server.
The one thing it fetches is two pieces of video software, ffmpeg and libmpv, which it offers to download for you on first run. That request goes to the people who publish them, not to us.
When you buy a license
Payment is handled by Paddle, acting as the merchant of record. You give your details to Paddle, not to us. What they collect and how they use it is covered by their own privacy policy.
From a completed purchase we keep a small record so we can support you and send your key again if you lose it:
- the order number from Paddle
- your name and email address
- the license key itself, and the date it was issued
That is all. We do not keep your address, your card details, or anything about how you use the app, because we never receive any of it. The record is stored with Cloudflare and is not sold, shared, or used for marketing.
When you email us
Mail to support@shotwork.tools is forwarded by Cloudflare to a personal mailbox, where it stays until it is deleted. Cloudflare passes it along without storing it.
Your choices
Write to support@shotwork.tools and you can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Deleting it means we can no longer re-send your key, so keep your own copy first.
Paddle holds purchase records of its own, including some it is required to keep for tax purposes. Those requests go to Paddle.
Children
ShotWork is a tool for professional work and is not aimed at children. We do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 13.
If this changes
If we ever start collecting something we do not collect today, this page says so before it starts.
